Abstract
U završnom radu je analiziran Rankineov ciklus u kojemu se koristi otpadna toplina ispušnih plinova motora s unutarnjim izgaranjem. Analiziran je Rankineov ciklus s dva radna medija, vodom i toluenom. Nakon opisa Rankineovog ciklusa postavljen je matematički model na osnovi kojega je napravljen programski kod za optimizaciju ciklusa. Ciklus je optimiziran variranjem vrijednosti tlaka kondenzacije, kotlovskog tlaka te variranjem vrijednosti temperature izlaznih dimnih plinova s ciljem dobivanja maksimalnog termičkog stupnja djelovanja ciklusa te neto dobivenog rada. Zaključeno je da pri istim radnim uvjetima Rankineov ciklus s vodom daje veći termički stupanj djelovanja nego ciklus s toluenom kao radnom tvari.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis, Rankine cycle for waste heat recovery from internal combustion engines is analyzed. Two working fluids in Rankine cycle are considered: water and toulene.The Rankine cycle is described and a mathematical model is developed on the basis of which the program code for optimization of the cycle was created. The cycle is optimized by varying the condensing pressure, boiler pressure, and by varying the output temperature of the flue gases with the goal of obtaining the maximum thermal efficiency and maximum work output. It is concluded that at the same working condition, Rankine cycle with water as working fluid gives the higher thermal efficiency than Rankine cycle with toluene.
