Abstract
U radu je prikazan značaj umjetne inteligencije u današnje vrijeme kao i sve veća zastupljenost metoda i alata u suvremenom gospodarstvu. Fokus je dan na segment ekspertnih sustava kojim se omogućio lakši izbor promatranog objekta. Na početku rada dan je povijesni razvoj umjetne inteligencije, podjela i te njezine karakteristike. Definirani su pojmovi ekspertnih sustava, genetičkih algoritma, neuronskih mreža i neizrazite logike, kao i osnovne karakteristike pojedinih pojmova. Ukazano je na sve veće važnosti inteligentnih sustava, njihove primjene te pogodnosti koje isti nude. Za rješavanje problema izbora tipa svrdla korišten je XpertRule Knowledge Builder softver, u kojemu su definirani atributi pri izboru: tip, kut vrha svrdla, materijal alata, premaz, promjer, dužina svrdla te dubina obrade.
Abstract (english)
The paper presents the importance of artificial intelligence today as well as the growing presence of methods and tools in the modern economy. The focus is on the segment of expert systems, which enabled easier selection of the observed object. At the beginning of the paper, the historical development of artificial intelligence, the division and its characteristics are given. The concepts of expert systems, genetic algorithms, neural networks and fuzzy logic are defined, as well as the basic characteristics of individual concepts. The growing importance of intelligent systems, their applications and the benefits they offer are pointed out. XpertRule Knowledge Builder software was used to solve the problem of drill type selection, in which the attributes for selection were defined: type, drill tip angle, tool material, coating, diameter, drill length and machining depth.
