Abstract
U ovom radu je kroz teorijski i eksperimentalni dio opisana žilavost materijala kao jedno od njegovih ključnih svojstava. Navedene su metode ispitivanja žilavosti koje su danas primijenjene ali i njihov razvoj kroz povijest. U radu je dan detaljan opis Charpyeve i Izodove metode kojima je i izveden eksperimentalni dio rada. Isto tako, u užem rasponu dan je opis i ostalih metoda ispitivanja udarne radnje loma. Ispitivanje udarne radnje loma je metoda dinamičkog ispitivanja materijala te su dani izrazi određivanja vrijednosti žilavosti brojčanim opisom, ali isto tako i vizualnim opisom.
Abstract (english)
In this paper the theoretical and experimental part describes the toughness of the material as one of its key properties. The methods of toughness testing applied today, as well as their development throughout history, have been mentioned. The paper gives a detailed description of Charpy and Izod's methods, which also included the experimental part of the work. Likewise, in the narrow range, a description of other methods of fracture impact testing is given. Fracture impact test is a method of static testing of the material, and the given expressions of the toughness determination are given by a numerical description, but also by a visual description.
