Abstract
Ovim radom prikazani su materijali i svojstva polimernih vodovodnih cijevi. Kao materijali koji su najzastupljeniji ističu se polipropilen (PP), polietilen (PE) i poli(vinil-klorid) te svaki od njih sadrži svoje inačice, ovisno o svojstvima i upotrebi. Glavne odlike polimernih vodovodnih cijevi očituju se visokom čvrstoćom i krutošću, koja ih čini otpornima na vanjska opterećenja. Zbog svoje visoke kemijske otpornosti ne hrđaju i ne podržavaju stvaranje naslaga na stijenkama. Otporne su na vanjska habanja, što je dobar čimbenik radi primarnog cilja, a to je nepropusnost za različite medije te distribucija čiste i pitke vode. Zbog svoje male mase i fleksibilnosti omogućeno je lako rukovanje te transport i montaža. Zbog koeficijenta trenja, koji je višestruko manji nego kod npr. čeličnih cijevi, niski su gubici pritiska. Većina polimernih cijevi može se spajati zavarivanjem i mehaničkim spojnicama sa mehaničkom čvrstoćom spojnih mjesta istom kao i same cijevi.
Abstract (english)
This paper presents the materials and properties of polymer water pipes. As materials which are most noted for their polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) and poly (vinyl chloride), and each contains its version, depending on the properties and use. The main features of plastic water pipes are reflected in high strength and stiffness, which makes them resistant to external pressure. Due to its high chemical resistance and rust do not support the formation of deposits on the walls. They are resistant to wear out, which is a good factor for the sake of the primary objective, and that is the tightness of the different media and distribution of clean drinking water. Because of its light weight and flexibility enables easy handling and transport and assembly. Because the coefficient of friction, which is several times lower than in eg. steel pipe, low pressure losses. Most of polymer pipes can be joined by welding and mechanical connectors with mechanical strength of joints the same as the pipe.
